A Handheld garment steamer has a water tank inside. When powered on and heated, the water in the tank is converted into steam. The steam is released through the nozzle of the ironing machine. After contacting the surface of the clothes, it can quickly soften the fiber structure of the clothes. At the same time, the ironing machine is usually equipped with a smooth metal plate or panel. After the steam softens the fiber, the panel is used to gently press the clothes to smooth the wrinkles on the surface.
Usage steps
First, you need to add an appropriate amount of water to the water tank of the handheld steam ironing machine. The water tank capacity of different models of ironing machines may vary. When adding water, refer to the recommendations in the manual.
After adding water, turn on the power and turn on the ironing machine, and wait for it to preheat to the appropriate temperature. The preheating time is usually short, generally about tens of seconds.
The handheld garment steamer machine is equipped with a variety of ironing modes, such as dry ironing, wet ironing, and explosive steam. Users can choose the appropriate mode according to the material and degree of wrinkles of the clothes.
For example, for thinner clothes or when you need to quickly remove minor wrinkles, you can choose the dry ironing mode; for thicker clothes or when you need to deeply remove stubborn wrinkles, you can choose the wet ironing or explosive steam mode.
Hang the clothes on the ironing rack or lay them flat on the table to ensure that the clothes are flat and fold-free.
Hold the ironing machine, aim the nozzle at the wrinkles on the clothes, and gently press the steam button to release the steam. At the same time, press the clothes gently with the metal plate or panel of the ironing machine so that the steam can fully penetrate into the fiber and soften the fiber.
During the ironing process, you should pay attention to keeping a moderate distance between the nozzle and the clothes to avoid damage to the clothes due to being too close or affecting the ironing effect due to being too far away. At the same time, the speed and pressure of ironing should be adjusted according to the material and thickness of the clothes.
When the wrinkles on the clothes are completely smoothed, turn off the ironing machine and disconnect the power supply.
Place the ironing machine in a ventilated and dry place to cool naturally, and avoid putting it in a confined space or contacting with water immediately to prevent damage.
